March 13 and 20, 2010.Every year, the Chief Seattle Council supports our local food banks by offering to collect food with the help of scouts throughout the Puget Sound region. Our troop participates in this effort every year by distributing fliers and collecting bags of food from our neighbors in the Eastgate area.
This year our neighbors were kind enough to set out 45 bags of food for Troop 626 scouts to pick up during an economy when needs are at their highest levels. Some folks made a special purchase of cases of infant formula just for this food drive. Awesome!
Clearly, we have good neighbors where we live. Thanks to all who contributed to this food drive. And thanks to the scouts and parents of Troop 626 who helped.
